Tom Dion’s Automotive Repair is located in the first building complex on the west side (right-hand side) of Ashton Court (the tan building on the corner). Our repair shop is situated between H.I.S. Painting (5306) and The Cabinet Place (5310).
Tom Dion's Automotive Repair was started by Tom Dion, Jr. From an early age, Tom enjoyed learning how things worked by taking items apart and attempting to put them back together. His father had owned and operated a repair shop in Sarasota, where Tom was able to spend some time learning about the mechanics of automobiles. Eventually, he attended SCTI to receive formal training in Automotive Service Technology, but he didn't get into Automotive Service right away.
During his studies at SCTI, he started working at Discount Auto Parts. Before long, he was managing one of the Discount Auto Parts storefronts, which later became Advance Auto Parts. While he was with the company, he acquired skills in management and a knowledge of auto parts. Tom was able to use these foundational skills to start his own repair shop in 2003. Tom opened his shop, which was initially located on Sawyer Road, with the help of his dad. They worked together for a couple of years while Tom developed a greater knowledge of automotive repair and experience in operating his own repair shop.
Since then, Tom Dion's Automotive Repair has moved to it's present location on Ashton Court, and has grown through the reputation estalished with loyal customers. Thanks for your support!
